Christ Be With Me
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ where I lie, Christ where I sit, Christ where I arise,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every one who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Salvation is of the Christ.
May your salvation, Lord, be ever with us.
Sometimes I ask the question,
“My Lord, is this your will?”
It’s then I hear you answer me,
“My Precious Child…be still.”
Sometimes I feel frustrated,
cause I think I know what’s best.
It’s then I hear you say to me,
“My Busy Child…just rest!”
Sometimes I feel so lonely and
I think I’d like a mate.
Your still small voice gets oh
so clear and says,
“My Child…please wait!”
“I know the plans I have for you,
the wondrous things you’ll see;
If you can just be patient, Child,
and put your trust in me.
I’ve plans to draw you closer.
I’ve plans to help you grow.
There’s much I do you cannot
see and much you do not know.
But know this, Child…I LOVE YOU.
You are Precious unto Me.
Before I formed you in the womb,
I planned your destiny. I’ve
something very special
I hope for you to learn.
The gifts I wish to give to you
are gifts you cannot earn.
They come without a price tag,
but not without a cost; at Calvary,
I gave My Son, so You would not be lost.
Rest Child, and do not grow weary
of doing what is good.
I promise I’ll come back for you
just like I said I would.
Your name is written on my palm,
I never could forget; Therefore,
do not be discouraged when my answer is…
One night I had a dream, I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life, There was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, You would walk with me all the way; But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, There is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why in times when I needed you the most, you should leave me.
The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child. I love you, and I would never, never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you.
“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.” (Philippians 4:12)
Knowing how to abound is as challenging as how to be brought low. Many Christians tend to face greater temptation in abundance than in need and become losers. “Lord, please let your abundant grace be not the cause of greater distance from you. And grant me wisdom to know how to humbly abound in your sight as well as to know how to be brought low without grumbling.”
“……For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well….your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be….Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psaml 139)
My favorite chapter. Lord, let me not be anxious of anything; Remove all the impurities from my heart. Renew your spirit within me. Strengthen me, empower me as I strive to walk the same way you have walked, O Lord.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”(Philippians 4:13)
First day at the RSM was not easy because it started out with strenuous labor work. In the morning, men put slates on the roof of a barn that was in the process of being built. Women started to paint inside walls of a room which would soon to be occupied by many youth girls. We all sweated a lot not only because it was hard work but also we had many trial-and-errors in figuring out the right way of doing the work. It was more so for the men because none of them had experience of doing that particular task before. However in the afternoon when we were together with children of the ranch and running the VBS, the sweating day’s experience was all forgotten. We Sang with the puppets, “Jesus loves little Children, all the children of the world….”. We shared a salvation message, we decorated hats together. And at the end of the day, we made meal together and shared it with everyone there. Thanks to God, truly, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Grant that I may not pray alone with the mouth; help me that I may pray from the depths of my heart.
O God, early in the morning I cry to you.
Help me to pray
And to concentrate my thoughts on you:
I cannot do this alone.
In me there is darkness,
But with you there is light;
I am lonely, but you do not leave me;
I am feeble in heart, but with you there is help;
I am restless, but with you there is peace.
In me there is bitterness, but with you there is patience;
I do not understand your ways,
But you know the way for me…
Restore me to liberty,
And enable me to live now
That I may answer before you and before me.
Lord, whatever this day may bring,
Your name be praised.
